Stability and Sustainability
 | The Stability and Sustainability Cluster (KSM) is headed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI) and coordinated by the Secretariat of the Cabinet Committee on National Food Security Policy (FSCC). KSM is comprised of government ministries/ agencies, academics and non-governmental organizations focusing on the stability dimension to ensure the country's food system. |

| The plight to reduce food loss and waste (FLW) caught MARDI’s attention to join the global SAVEFOOD network and established the Malaysia Save Food (MYSaveFood) Initiative on 15 October 2015. To date, there are more than 150 organizations and individuals that have signed in as MYSaveFood partners to create awareness and combat the FLW issue in Malaysia. The programs are mainly exhibitions, seminars, forums, executive talk, sustainable education programs for students, dissemination of thematic messages through social media and also promotion on traditional media with data provided from partners. | MyGAP certification recognizes farms that practice Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) according to established elements and use of chemicals as crop pest control at a minimum level allowed while myOrganic recognizes farms that do not use chemicals in their cultivation activities. This method of recognition is one of the government's efforts to encourage farmers to adopt the GAP and subsequently as evidence to consumers towards agricultural activities undertaken in producing safe and quality food and ensuring environmental sustainability.
